Katy Perry Hilariously Calls Out 'Divas' Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie Ahead of 'American Idol' Live Show

Is Katy Perry the only judge taking the American Idol live shows seriously? The 36-year-old pop star poked fun at her fellow judges, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie, during Sunday's live show, sharing a video less than an hour before the program aired.

"The rumors are true, #americanidol has a diva problem and it’s @LionelRichie and @LukeBryanOnline 🙄," Perry captioned the clip of herself. "This was filmed at 4:10pm PT. the show starts at 5pm PT."

In the video, the "Firework" singer attempts to visit Bryan's trailer after he missed last week's show due to testing positive for COVID-19.

"I'm leaving my trailer to go and check on Luke because he's back," Perry shares in the clip. "He wasn't with us last week. He had a COVID scare."

As she arrives at Bryan's trailer unannounced, Perry declares, "He's not even here yet?!"

She then tries to visit Richie, only to discover the "Easy" singer hadn't arrived to his trailer either.

Sunday marked a big night for Bryan. He returned to Idol after a week away and also virtually accepted the award for Entertainer of the Year during the ACM Awards.

"It was really, really tough not being [at Idol]. That was the toughest part of quarantine," Bryan told ET. "It was really tough for me to have to miss out but I was really honored and very amazed that Paula [Abdul] stepped in for me."

Katy Perry Calls Herself 'Legolas' GF' as She Dresses as Tinkerbell for 'American Idol' Disney Night

Katy Perry loves a pointy ear! The 36-year-old musician went all-out once again for American Idol's Disney Night, sharing a video from the makeup chair as she transformed into Tinkerbell.

Perry didn't just rock the green dress and fairy wings, she also dyed her eyebrows blonde and gave herself some pointy fairy ears.

The look reminded her of another famous character with pointy ears -- Legolas from Lord of the Rings, who was famously played by Perry's fiancĂ©, Orlando Bloom, in the films.

"Legolas’s gf flyin in hot with a pouch full of pixie dust to throw on anyone who doesn’t believe we have the best top 10 in @americanidol history #disneynight ok," Perry captioned a clip of the ear being added on.

ET's Lauren Zima spoke with Perry -- as well as her fellow Idol judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan -- and opened up about why she chose to be the iconic fairy for Disney Night.

"I just feel like everybody needs to believe in a bit more magic these days, we need a little bit more fairy dust," Perry shared. "We've been in isolation, we need our imagination to come alive."

"And I wanted to borrow Legolas's ears," she added with a laugh.

After her original post showing her costume, Bloom commented with a string of fire emojis, and Perry joked that she was definitely going to "bring it home" just for him.

Her fun Tinkerbell magic definitely had an impact on her and Bloom's baby girl, Daisy, who Perry said watched her on Idol for the first time on Sunday and loved the outfit.

"My sister sent me a video of her watching the show, I think that's the first time she watched the show and she was like glued to seeing her mom," Perry shared. "These wings will be handed down and she will wear them at some point. I got that video like right after the show started and I was like, 'Awww, my heart!"

Perry is known for trying out some festive looks for Disney Night on the music competition show. In the past, she's dressed up as Snow White, Dumbo and Ursula.

Perry also coyly hinted at her rumored Las Vegas residency, and said there will soon be news on that front and she's "going to announce it very soon."

When asked about the possibility of performing live in Las Vegas again after more than a year of cancelled shows and closed venues due to the pandemic, Perry said, "Oh, it would be really nice to perform anywhere! Especially in Vegas! I'd like to perform outside of my room, even. I'll even go back to the Farmer's Market!"

Katy Perry Gushes Over Daughter Daisy Dove While Celebrating Her First Mother's Day

Katy Perry is enjoying her first Mother's Day. The singer and American Idol judge took to Twitter on Sunday to commemorate the occasion.

"I found everything i was ever searching for when i became a mother," tweeted Perry, who welcomed daughter Daisy Dove with her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, back in August.

The pop icon said she is "so grateful for that profound, deep love and honored to join the mama club. Happiest Mother’s Day!"

Meanwhile, Bloom also celebrated his lady love's first Mother's Day with a hilariously weird photoshopped image showing him on a fishing trip holding a miniature version of Perry, dressed like a mermaid.

"Got myself a real catch," Bloom quipped. "Sending love and respect to all the amazing people who have shaped our lives, supported us and loved us unconditionally. Happy Mother’s Day."

Perry also felt some love on Sunday's brand new American Idol, which featured two rounds of competition -- the first based on Coldplay songs and featuring Chris Martin as a mentor, and the second themed around Mother's Day, and songs dedicated to the Idol hopefuls' own moms.

ET's Lauren Zima spoke with Perry and her fellow Idol judges -- Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan -- after Sunday's show, and the singer opened up about how it felt to celebrate her first Mother's Day.

"It feels fulfilling. It's beautiful," Perry shared. "I now know the unconditional love and I'm so happy to celebrate it today."

As for how she and her adorable family commemorated the day, Perry said the best gift was getting to spend time with her baby girl.

"We celebrated yesterday knowing I had to work today... I got to sleep with her, we had a nap for three hours and I held her hand and it made me so happy," Perry recalled. "That was my way of celebrating."

The two-hour episode featured a number of memorable performances as the Top 7 duked it out for a spot in the Top 5. Live voting took place during the episode, so the two contestants to get the axe were revealed at the end of the episode.

After performing one Coldplay tune and then one song dedicated to their mothers, America voted to see more of Caleb Kennedy, Casey Bishop, Chayce Beckham, Grace Kinstler and Willie Spence. This means Hunter Metts and returning contestant Arthur Gunn were sent packing.

Is Katy Perry pregnant (again) on 'American Idol' in 2021?

The American Idol premiere has everyone talking … but not about the contestants.

Katy Perry, who’s back as a judge for the show’s fourth season on ABC, appeared to have a bit of a baby bump that’s prompted fans to wonder whether the singer is pregnant again.

Back when Season 3 of American Idol was underway, Katy released the music video for “Never Worn White,” in which she announced that she was pregnant with her first child. She also announced that the baby was due in the summer of 2020, which means that she likely became pregnant some time in the fall of 2019.

Katy was actually pregnant during the filming of the Hollywood episodes of American Idol’s Season 3, so fans were pretty confused when it looked like she was still pregnant during the audition episodes of Season 4.

So, is the "Firework" songstress expecting? At the moment, no, Katy Perry is not pregnant and she wasn’t pregnant while filming the current season of American Idol.

The reason she had what people are assuming was a “baby bump” is because she had given birth to her first child, daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, just five weeks prior to filming.

Katy’s daughter was born on Aug. 26, 2020 and according to Deadline, Season 4 of American Idol went into production on Oct. 5, 2020.

Although Hollywood stars have done it in the past, that’s hardly enough time for a woman to lose all her pregnancy weight, which is why Katy was sporting a bit of a bump in the Season 4 premiere.

In an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Katy explained that the juggling taking care of her newborn and the demands of her career had caught her by surprise.

“We started filming American Idol Season 4 after I’d given birth, five weeks later," she said. "And I didn’t plan that. But it was like, ‘Oh, my God!’ It was so intense, you know?”

Since her first-hand experience of the hard work that goes into motherhood, especially for working moms, Katy has became an outspoken advocate for paid family leave. "When a mom finally goes back to work (whatever profession they do) it’s not like they been [sic] coming from months of 'time off...,'" she tweeted. "She’s coming from a full time job.”

She then went on to tell fans to call their own moms and to advocate for paid family leave.

Katy Perry Explains How She Hid Her Pregnancy, the 'Longest Secret I've Ever Had to Keep'

Katy Perry announced she is expecting her first child with her fiancé Orlando Bloom by revealing her pregnant stomach in her music video for "Never Worn White." After the video's release, she shared an Instagram Story of herself and explained how she hid her pregnancy these past couple weeks as she began to show more.

Perry wrote on Twitter, post-announcement, "omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore" and added "or carry around a big purse lol." The singer was referring to what she's done in paparazzi photos taken of her these past couple weeks. In shots taken of her Tuesday in Adidas sweats, she carried a big bag.

She told viewers on her Instagram Live that she and Bloom are thrilled to be welcoming their first baby together soon. Bloom has a 9-year-old son, Flynn, with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

“I’m excited, we’re excited, and happy," Perry said. "It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music.”

She added that she needed to announce soon because it was getting increasingly hard to hide: “I had to reveal it at some point. It’s getting pretty obvious.”

People reported last February that Perry and Bloom were looking forward to starting a family together on the sooner side. A source said at the time that “Katy is slowing down her career this year. [She and Bloom] want to get married and start a family sooner rather than later.”

Perry commented on her wedding plans in a new interview published last week, saying the marriage was more important than the ceremony to them. "I call myself a 'bridechilla' as opposed to a bridezilla," Perry told Australia's Stellar magazine. "Orlando and I are united with our approach. It’s not about the party, it’s about the coming together of people who will hold us accountable when things get really hard. Because it’s really great and then it’s really hard. Those are just the facts when you’re with someone who challenges you to be your best self."

'American Idol' Judge Katy Perry and Fiancé Orlando Bloom Have a Hilarious Meet-Cute Story

Those who watch American Idol know that Katy Perry totally embraces her quirky sense of humor (remember when she dressed as a giant hand sanitizer bottle during the first remote Idol episode?). That's why it likely won't come as a surprise to learn that comedy played a part in how she and her fiancé, Orlando Bloom, fell in love.

It all started back in January of 2016 at the Golden Globes, as Katy told Jimmy Kimmel three years later. While at the ceremony, Katy said that the Lord of the Rings star stole an In-N-Out burger off of her table.

"He took it, and I was like, 'Wait! Who, oh, you're so hot. Fine, take it!' And then I saw him at a party, and I was like, 'How are those onions resting on your molars?'" she recalled. "He's like, 'I like you.'"

Apparently, their flirtation continued into the evening. At a Golden Globes afterparty, a source told Us Weekly that the two engaged in an epic dance-off. "Katy literally dropped to the floor and was waving her booty around, beckoning Orlando," the insider spilled.

By May of the same year, Katy hinted that she and Orlando were officially a couple when she posted an Instagram of them in Cannes, France. As 2016 continued, Katy and Orlando were photographed together frequently, including when they dressed up as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump before the election.

While things seemed to be going well, the two reportedly broke up for a bit in March of 2017. After presumably getting negative feedback online about their split, Katy hopped on Twitter and said, "HOW BOUT A NEW WAY OF THINKING FOR 2017 U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one's a victim or a villain, get a life y'all!"

The split didn't last long, however. The Sun reported in February of 2018 that the two were back on — and one year later, Orlando and Katy announced their engagement to the world. "Full bloom," Katy wrote alongside a photo of her flower-shaped engagement ring.

Though rumors circulated that the two were planning on tying the knot in December of 2019, the couple still appears to be happily engaged to this day. In August of 2020, the pair welcomed a baby girl named Daisy into the world.

Ahead of the newest season of American Idol, Katy appeared alongside fellow judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on Live With Kelly and Ryan and gave an update on her life as a working mom.

"Yeah, of course there's a routine. My daughter is a Virgo and she thrives in routine," Katy said. "But I did start filming American Idol season 4 after I'd given birth, five weeks later. And I didn't plan that. But it was like, 'Oh, my god!' It was so intense, you know?'"

She added: "Giving birth, then going back to work and breastfeeding, like — holy crap! This is what women do? Oh my god."

Despite her hectic schedule, Katy said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this past Tuesday that Orlando has been very supportive and helpful through it all.

"He's been amazing, incredible, and we're so in love and we're so grateful."
